VO2 MAX TEST LONDON

Additional Information

For athletes and sportspersons, it is important to maintain cardiovascular fitness and endurance. There are all kinds of devices, tools and methods available that can enhance your cardiovascular fitness level.

A VO2 Max Test measures the maximum amount of oxygen a person can utilise during intense exercise. This is one of the tests, which is useful to determine an athlete's cardiovascular fitness and performance capacity.

Over time, VO2 Max Test has gained popularity among athletes looking to improve their fitness levels. With age, VO2 Max decreases. In order to maintain fitness levels and benchmarking your longevity protocol, regular VO2 Max Testing is helpful.

We conduct the VO2 Max Test in London, at our Performance Lab. This is a quick test that can be used as a fitness baseline before starting a training regime.

How To Get A VO2 Max Test

We offer VO2 Max Testing at our sports Performance Lab. It usually takes 10-20 minutes.

A VO2 Max Test involves a stationary bicycle or a treadmill. The intensity is increased over time and carefully calibrated. We will equip you with a face mask that is connected to the machine. It will calculate the concentration of oxygen and carbon dioxide inhaled and exhaled. In addition to this, it will also determine the respiratory rate and volume.

To prepare for your test you should:

  • Dress in comfortable workout clothes.
  • Refrain from consuming food, caffeine, alcohol, and tobacco at least 3 hours prior to the test.
  • Avoid exercising, training or any physically draining activity 24 hours prior to the test.

How Much Does The VO2 Max Test Cost?

Our tests take place at the Centre for Health and Human Performance. A comprehensive  Cardio Pulmonary Exercise Test with full report starts from £480
